Job Description
NU Hospitals is looking for a qualified Laboratory Technician to become an integral part of our dedicated team. This role will report directly to the Lab Supervisor and requires a Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT) along with 1-3 years of relevant experience.
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Developing protocols for the collection and analysis of biological specimens.
- Ensuring specimen integrity to guarantee precise results.
- Conducting analytical tests on various bodily fluids and substances.
- Identifying and resolving discrepancies in laboratory data.
- Maintaining and calibrating laboratory equipment.
- Collaborating with nursing and administrative personnel regarding samples and reports.
- Communicating critical results to clinicians and documenting accordingly.
